In 1970, the first generation, Daihei, opened a kiln with a passion for the birthplace of Koshodai. In the village of Furushodai, where the colors of the four seasons are rich, we use iron-rich clay from Mt. Kodai as the base, and natural glazes made from kuma bamboo grass, and straw ash. Using our unique [split bamboo style climbing kiln], we continue to inherit and create works that are simple and powerful, with a style that exudes the warmth of the earth.
