Kame Yaki Gama・Senoue Gama
■Commentary
It is located in the birthplace of Shodai-yaki pottery, which is representative of Kumamoto. The ruins of the Edo period kilns (the Kame Yaki Gama and the Senoue Gama) have been preserved, as well as the remains of a water strainer and a potter´s wheel. Four kilns are clustered around the Koshodai no Sato Park, making it a must-visit place for pottery fans.
