The origin of “Olle” is Jeju Island, South Korea, and the word “Olle” is originally from a dialect in Jeju and means "a narrow pathway from the street to the house.” Jeju Island is full of nature, and with the steady increase of the trekking population there, the word “Olle” has become a general term for a trekking course. It is now a core course of trekking in South Korea. The attractive feature of Olle is that you experience mountains and coastlines with your five senses and enjoy hiking at your own pace. At key points on the course, there are signposts for walkers including red and blue ribbons, wooden and painted arrows, and objects called “kanse,” which have a motif of horses on Jeju.
