Kyōshuhō Peak is a signature scenic spot of Yabakei, where a series of striking rock formations stretches for about 1km, resembling a row of folding screens. The ridge-line hiking trail is considered a path of prayer, winding past rock caves, chain-assisted climbs, and Buddha statues. Along the trail, Myōken Cave houses a wooden seated statue of Myōken Bōsatsu, created during the Heian period (794-1185). The name Kyōshuhō Peak was given by Monk Kinryū of Asakusa Temple in Edo, who visited the area in 1763 (Edo era).
