Built during the Taishō period (1912–1926), this post office was renovated in 2022 and is now preserved as the Former Hirata Post Office. As part of the Japan Heritage designation, its nostalgic Taishō-era atmosphere continues to charm visitors.
Today, the building serves as a vibrant community hub, featuring a café and hosting a variety of events, making it a must-visit destination for history lovers and casual travellers alike.
