40.The Seven Lucky Gods of Mt. Higashioku (Tanigouchi View)
■Commentary
In 1991, a typhoon toppled trees in the forest, revealing seven massive rocks that had been hidden for centuries. Wishing for the restoration of the mountain forest, the rocks were enshrined as the Mt. Higashioku Shichifukujin (Seven Lucky Gods of Mt. Higashioku).
The site offers panoramic views of unusual rock formations and the surrounding Yabakei mountains, making it a highlight of the “Yabakei Heritage Scenic Tour.”
