05.Kōeiroku / Memorial of the Gyōkōkei of the Emperor and Empress
■Commentary
Kōeiroku is the record of veneration given to our shrine from the Imperial families and other royal families. In recent years, the then His Imperial Highness Prince Hironomiya Naruhito visited us on October 2, 1976, and Her Imperial Highness Princess Hisako Takamado visited us on April 23, 2016. On September 20, 2017, we were honored with the gyōkōkei of the then Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress. The Emperor and Empress expressed deep interest in the history of our shrine, and made an offering of a branch of the sacred tree before the gods and prayed. To commemorate this congratulation, we built the Memorial for the Gyōkōkei of the Emperor and Empress. Inscribed on the back of the Memorial are the movements of that day of the Emperor and Empress at this shrine.
